House Washing & Soft Wash in Fort Collins

The green streaks on the north side aren't dirt — they're algae, and blasting them makes it worse. Soft washing kills the growth so it stays gone longer.

What a house wash covers

Siding does not want high pressure. Force water up under a lap and it finds the sheathing, the insulation and eventually the drywall. A soft wash applies a cleaning solution at garden-hose pressure, lets it do the work on the organic growth, then rinses. It is gentler and it lasts longer, because you have killed the algae rather than knocked the top off it.

How the job runs

  1. Photos and a fixed priceSend pictures of each elevation. Two-story and heavy growth change the number, so we'd rather see it first.
  2. Protect the landscapingBeds and sensitive plantings get soaked before and rinsed after. This is the step most people skip.
  3. Apply and dwellSolution goes on low and slow, from the bottom up, and gets the time it needs to work.
  4. Rinse and inspectClean rinse top down, then we walk each side of the house with you.

Questions

Why not just use high pressure on siding?
Because it drives water behind the laps and into the wall. We have been called out to fix that more than once. Soft washing gets a better result with none of the risk.
Will it kill my plants?
No. Beds get pre-soaked and rinsed, and we work around anything delicate. Tell us about new plantings and we'll take extra care.
How long does it stay clean?
On a north-facing wall in Fort Collins, expect two to three years before the algae comes back meaningfully. South-facing walls go longer.
